The 4th Annual Midwest Elite Camp will host hundreds of players from across the country. Camp Directors will invite some of the best players from across the country.The Midwest Elite Camp will have several top incoming 8th through 12th graders participating in a two day exposure camp. The event will take place at Garfield Heights High School.
The AMEC camp will put several top players against each other for two days of full action, competitive basketball. Some of the these players never get the opportunity to play against each other due to events/camps and schedules, but AMEC is held in September during a dead period. This will give these players a opportunity they might never have had against each other.
AMEC is not only for the elite players, but for those campers looking to make a name themselves. Florida product Brandon Knight left the AMEC camp in 2005 as the #1 camper and was named MVP. Knight is currently now ranked on most scouting services as the top player in the class of 2010.
The camp will have teams per age division with players getting equal minutes. The players will have drill stations set-up daily along with the daily games. The camp will conclude on Sunday, September 12, 2010 with all the players participating in All Star games.
AMEC motto is everybody leaves the camp an All-Star.
AMEC--Just signed a deal with various scouting and video services . They will be evaluating every game and player. Copies of all games will be recorded and will be available for purchase.
*Scouting Services will provide a personal in-dept coverage of the camp to colleges coaches and scouting services. The coaches will receive a special edition report on the event.
